Introduction

The program “Expert in Scenario Management in Complex Environments” is an advanced training course aimed at preparing professionals capable of acting, coordinating and surviving operationally in critical high-risk scenarios: violent attacks, unstable zones, armed incidents, multiple threats and contexts with a high level of uncertainty.

Developed and delivered by A-GLOSS, this pathway integrates essential knowledge and procedures to operate professionally in environments where the margin for error is minimal, combining self-protection, situational assessment, response to armed threats and tactical first aid. The program strengthens decision-making under pressure, environmental awareness and the execution of immediate response protocols to protect one’s own life and that of others.

It is aimed at operational, security and emergency response profiles who need applicable tools for real scenarios, where technical preparation and operational discipline are decisive.

Courses that make up the program

The program is structured into four specialized courses, complementary to one another:

  • (PAET) Tactical Environment First Aid (130 h)

  • (PRAV) AVA Protocol: Response to Armed Violent Attacks (3–5 days)

  • (AUTP) Self-protection in Risk Areas (100 h)

  • (CESO) Operational Situational Environment Control (70 h)

Integrative final project: 100 h
The student will develop an individual project applying the programme's approach: scenario assessment, response planning, self-protection and intervention and assistance protocols.

Methodology

The curriculum combines theoretical with a focus practical and applied, aimed at developing operational capabilities and courses of action under pressure.

Includes:

  • Web-based training content with educational resources (texts, images, guides, and supplementary material).

  • Operational protocols and technical documentation applicable to critical scenarios.

  • Practical cases and analyses of real incidents to strengthen situational judgment.

  • Exercises focused on environment assessment, threat identification, and decision-making.

  • Training in self-protection procedures and response to violent scenarios.

  • Reading resources and supporting bibliography (articles, guides, specialized videos).

  • Self-assessments and per-module activities to consolidate key concepts.

  • Individualized tutoring for support and continuous improvement.

  • Forums and messaging for interaction with instructors and clarification of doubts.

  • Voluntary videoconferences (recorded for later viewing).

  • Capstone integrative project as the methodological and operational conclusion of the program.
