Introduction

El curso de Protección, Seguridad y Antiterrorismo Marítimo/Portuario se enmarca dentro de una necesidad imperante en la seguridad internacional: la aplicación eficaz de la inteligencia y el análisis estratégico en entornos marítimos y portuarios para contrarrestar la amenaza del terrorismo global. Este programa educativo profundiza en el conocimiento integral del terrorismo, abarcando desde su conceptualización teórica, pasando por su naturaleza globalizada, hasta las metodologías específicas de radicalización y desradicalización. El objetivo central es equipar a los participantes con las competencias necesarias para prever y prevenir actos terroristas antes de que estos puedan ocurrir.

A lo largo del curso, los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de explorar en detalle las diversas amenazas que afectan tanto a la navegación comercial como de recreo. Estas amenazas no se limitan al terrorismo, sino que también incluyen actividades delictivas interconectadas como el narcotráfico, la trata de personas, la piratería marítima y la pesca ilegal, entre otras. El programa ofrece una visión holística y multidisciplinar, entendiendo que el fenómeno del terrorismo global no reconoce fronteras y a menudo involucra a actores de diferentes orígenes y sin vínculos operativos directos.

Además, la formación proporcionará un análisis exhaustivo de las estrategias y políticas actuales, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, que se están implementando para mejorar la seguridad marítima y portuaria. Se examinarán casos de estudio y se discutirán enfoques innovadores en el campo de la inteligencia y la seguridad marítima, permitiendo a los alumnos entender mejor las complejidades del antiterrorismo en un contexto marítimo.

El curso también subraya la importancia crítica de entender el terrorismo en su contexto más amplio, reconociendo los factores políticos, económicos, sociales y culturales que contribuyen a su surgimiento y evolución. Al completar este programa, los participantes no sólo habrán adquirido conocimientos teóricos y analíticos, sino que también habrán desarrollado habilidades prácticas aplicables a sus roles profesionales, fortaleciendo así las capacidades de sus organizaciones y comunidades para enfrentar y mitigar riesgos en el sector marítimo y portuario.

Methodology

In order to organize a flexible title that responds effectively to the achievement of the objectives proposed for the course training and to acquire the necessary skills in the domain of activities, the course is developed using a methodology based on the following elements:

1. Initial list of topics and exercises that each module contains and that are developed throughout the course.
2. Syllabus content in web format with texts, photographs, images, graphics and necessary teaching resources that address the topics in each training session and serve as theoretical and practical support for the student's training.
3. Supporting documents that will serve for reading and analysis and complement the content of the syllabus, which may consist of articles of interest, magazines, videos, etc.
4. Self-assessment at the end of each content so that the student can consolidate concepts and data.
5. Videoconferences with voluntary attendance by students, being recorded for later viewing.
6. The student will have individualized tutoring, which will serve as continuous support so that the student achieves the objectives and optimal knowledge.
7. Forums and messaging in which the student can interact with the teacher and contact them to resolve doubts.
8. Bibliography provided to acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to be able to develop the double degree.

Online training guarantees compatibility with other student activities, being adapted to the individual learning pace with flexibility.

A value is attributed in hours of teaching, so the complete course requires a dedication of 100 hours. The programming of the subjects or modules that make up the double degree and their coordination through seminars or videoconferences guarantee that the hours are distributed over 8 teaching weeks of the academic calendar.

Evaluation criteria

To pass the Protection and Security in Critical Infrastructures course, students must take a series of tests that will serve to evaluate the knowledge acquired, accrediting the academic certification.

To accredit the certification of the Maritime Intelligence, Security and Antiterrorism title, the following must be met:

4. Final work
