Biography
Montserrat López Melero holds a doctorate in Law and is a criminologist specializing in the analysis of violent behaviors, forensic danger profiles, and the psychology of terrorism. Her academic and professional career focuses on the study of jihadist terrorism, insurgent groups, and the interrelation between religion, law, and violent radicalization, with particular attention to Islam and the Islamic State. She is a research fellow at the University Research Institute for Police Sciences (IUICP) of the University of Alcalá and collaborates with the Secretariat of State for Security of the Ministry of the Interior, as well as with the International Observatory of Global Security (A-GLOSS/OISCOT). She has published books and articles in national and international scientific journals, and has participated in specialized conferences and presentations.
