The course “(DEPP) Operational Self-Defense (Intermediate or University Specialization Course – Ref: 50.20.57.DEPP)” It provides comprehensive, practical and applied training in self-defense techniques geared towards real-world operating contexts. Developed and delivered by A-GLOSS, This program is designed to strengthen the student's ability to respond to situations of aggression, resistance, threat, and risk, prioritizing the effectiveness, legality and proportional control of the incident.
Unlike traditional approaches, DEPP works with realistic scenarios that require technical, tactical, and mental skills for safe intervention. The course trains decision-making under pressure, stress management, and the correct application of defensive techniques adapted to urban environments and critical situations.
The course combines theoretical modules with a focus highly practical, incorporating progressive training and direct application exercises. During the training, didactic resources and dynamics are used that allow for a solid acquisition of operational skills.
Includes:
Initial list of topics and practical exercises that are developed in each module.
Web-based content with supporting material: texts, images, graphics and teaching resources per session.
Supplementary documents for reading and analysis (articles, technical guides, videos and specialized material).
Practical training focused on: grips, releases, controls, reductions and safe immobilizations.
Tactical movement exercises, defensive positioning and threat control.
Intervention in confined environments (vehicles, corridors, enclosed spaces).
Integration of techniques with operational equipment (vest, baton, shackles or other means, according to regulations and context).
Self-assessments or verification exercises at the end of content to consolidate key concepts.
Individual tutoring and support to reinforce the student's technical acquisition.
Forums and messaging for interaction with the instructor and resolution of doubts.
Recommended bibliography for further technical and operational study.
Final exercise or individual work focused on integrating knowledge and practical application.
Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion endorsed by A-GLOSS, accrediting their knowledge and skills in Operational Self-Defense, Threat control, proportional intervention, and application of defensive techniques in real-world scenarios.
